Project-Based Learning

 Hello everyone! πŸ€—

Today I'm going to talk about "Project- Based Learning".

Project-based learning is an instructional method designed to help students to develop knowledge and skills through engaging projects set around challenges and problems they may face in the real world. There are some benefits of using Project-Based Learning:

1. Collaboration- it helps students to work better in groups and also help them to build positive relationship with teachers and with other community members.

2. Problem solving- Students learn how to solve problems that are important.

3. Creativity- Students apply creative thinking skills to innovate new product designs and possibilities for projects.

4. Critical thinking- Students learn to look problems with a critical thinking lens finding solutions for problems.

5. Project management- Students learn to manage projects more efficiently.

Besides this benefits PBL it has also some disadvantages:

-It’s Time Consuming: Because it may take time for collecting materials and information.

-Lack of Interest: It may happen that students feel a lack of interest in their project subject which might distract their minds from the project.

-Needs a Dedicated & Hardworking Staff

-Uncomfortable for Differently Abled Students: Students sometimes may not feel encouraged to finish their projects in the given time.

Project based learning it has some characteristics:

INTER-DISCIPLINARY- In PBL projects require students to use knowledge and skills for  engaging  in finding  solution building, and product construction.

RIGOROUS- Challenges set out in PBL often require the application of knowledge and skills. Typically, students’ first steps will be to engage in a process of inquiry. This leads to deeper learning, not just of the academic content, but also the use of the content in real world applications.

STUDENT-CENTRED- In PBL, the role of the teacher shifts from content-deliverer to facilitator, coach or project manager. Students work more independently, with the teacher providing support only when needed.

To conclude, I think that project-based learning is a good way for teaching, and help students feel more interested about doing their work.
