ABSTRACT

Project-Based Learning

Project-Based Learning PBL is an active student-centred form of instruction which is characterised by constructive investigations, goal setting, collaboration, communication and reflection within real-world practices. Is a teaching method in which students gain knowledge and skills by working for an extended period of time to investigate and respond to an engaging and complex question, problem, or challenge. PBL provides an opportunity for students to apply knowledge to solve problem, think more deeply about content, and learn to ask questions because they are necessary to solve a problem. Using PBL students can develop essential skills such as collaboration, communication and critical thinking. It also helps to create better work habits and attitudes toward learning. The students learn more than just finding answers, PBL allows them to expand their minds and think beyond what they normally would.  With PBL all students can participate. They will be more comfortable because they are not getting taught by teachers and they get to answer questions from their everyday life. Although students do work in groups, they also become more independent because they are receiving little instruction from the teacher.   In conclusion, PBL is very important because it helps students to prepare for the world around them.  PBL is not just a way of learning; it is a way of working together.
